Stanley Middle School Library

This FREE workshop will explore how to achieve a successful partnership in special education through collaboration.  Topics will include the dynamics of negotiation, becoming an empowered partner, using effective communication, finding real solutions, motivating a team, employing good meeting strategies, accessing resources and supports, and more.

Childcare is being offered for 16 children during this event.

Join SEED for a free night at the movies! SEED will screen Swim Team, an award-winning documentary that chronicles the struggles and extraordinary triumphs of young athletes with autism and shows how a swim team can bring hope to a community.

The movie night will be Friday, January 26, 6:00 PM at the Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church. Following the screening, we'll have a discussion moderated by Lafayette School District Psychologist Jenna Krook. For more information and to see a trailer of the film, click here

Who We Are and What We Do

SEED provides a wide range of support and resources to families of children with special and diverse learning needs, as well as training programs for educators who work with these children.  The programs we fund include recess facilitation, after school social skills play groups, educational seminars, support groups and socials for parents and teacher training.

SEED is grateful to all the individuals, corporations, foundations and trusts who make charitable contributions that make these important programs possible.

SEED was founded in 2006, became a legal entity in 2008 and received non-profit status in January 2010.
