As a non-profit organization that is run entirely by volunteers, SEED graciously welcomes volunteers of all ages. We have multiple positions available that will meet your particular schedule and best utilize your personal skill set.

Volunteer Opportunities

Grant Writing
Partner with SEED's grant writing team to seek out foundations and trusts and apply for grants.


Appropriations
Together with the appropriations committee, you will research programs and opportunities that will significantly improve the lives and experience of members of the SEED community, and then designate and allocate funds to make those programs a reality.


Marketing & PR

  • Blog and Website manager - Responsible for updating SEED Blog and maintaining SEED's Website.
  • Facebook & Twitter Representative - Update Facebook & Twitter posts, reply to Facebook & Twitter comments, keep track of analytics.
  • Newsletter Editor - Responsible for writing and publishing SEED's monthly newsletter.
  • School Liaison - Responsible for contacting the publisher of your school's newsletter and updating them on current notifications and upcoming SEED events.


Fundraising & Events

  • Annual SEED Auction Committee - Participate in the planning, soliciting, and organizing of SEED's annual auction.
  • Pay-to-Play Party and Events Coordinator - Responsible for organizing Pay-to-Play Parties for the Annual auction and for organizing SEED related events throughout the year.
  • Pay-to-Play Host - Responsible for hosting a one time Pay-to-Play party of your choosing, to support SEED's annual auction.
  • Community Organizer - Responsible for facilitating periodic play dates; park meet-ups; and social events such as SEED's monthly breakfast and Taco Tuesday evening to foster community involvement and participation amongst the SEED community. The Community Organizer will reach out to incoming EI families and Special Needs families new to the Lafayette California, community and introduce them to our services and facilitate meet-ups within the SEED community.
  • Event Assistants - Help plan and run various community education programs hosted by SEED.
