Diggy & the Champlin Family

Diggory II, “Diggy” for short, is the beautiful dog raised through puppyhood by the Champlin Family of Lafayette. The Champlins were approved by Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) as puppy raisers, and on April 21, 2020 their family grew by one cute, 8-week old, 13-pound pupper.

If you’ve ever had a puppy, you know that the cost to raise one is quite high, and more so when raising one to CCI standards. SEED happily stepped in to extend a monthly stipend to help offset the cost of raising Diggy through puppyhood. As a bonus, we got to watch Diggy grow up through photos over the past 18-months.

Diggy has now graduated and matriculated to professional training, the next step to becoming a service dog. In honor of the Champlin’s hard work and Diggy’s success, please enjoy this slideshow of Diggy’s puppyhood with the Champlin Family.
