Liza Garcia - Co-President
Liza is delighted to be in her third year on the SEED Board and second year as Co-President. She has previously worked as a therapist for young children with a variety of mental health & developmental needs. She has two daughters at Stanley. Her goals for this year are to increase community engagement by partnering with local organizations & reaching out to parents who may needs the type of support SEED offers.

Katie Howard - Co-President
Katie is in her 3rd year on the SEED board, and her second as President. She has 25 years of experience in the public and non-profit sectors is pleased to be able serve in support of Lafayette kids with disabilities, their educators and families. Katie has two children at Lafayette Elementary and is a proud graduate of both Stanley and Acalanes.

Hillary Stucker - Vice President
Hillary is excited for her second year on the Board, and her first as Vice President. Hillary has a background as a visual arts teacher. In addition to being on the SEED Board, she also serves on the Lafayette School District’s Arts Steering Committee and BVE’s DEIB Committee. Hillary has one kiddo at BVE and one at home. She is passionate about discovering new recreational activities within the lens of physical disabilities.

Lindsey Abarca-Jones - Secretary
Lindsey is in her second year serving on the Board and currently holds the position of Secretary. She has built her career in HR and Operations, currently working for UC Berkeley Law. She is a proud parent of a 5 year old daughter in Kindergarten at St. Perpetua. This year, her goal is to strengthen engagement opportunities and to drive initiatives that deepen our impact in the community.

Hillary Benham-Baker - Treasurer
Hillary is proud to serve as SEED's Co-Treasurer. Hillary is a civil rights lawyer based in Lafayette and the mother of two daughters who attend Lafayette Elementary School. Hillary is passionate about SEED’s commitment to equal access and creating an inclusive, affirming learning environment for all students.

Ian White - Co-Treasurer
Ian is thrilled to start his first year on the Board, serving as Co-Treasurer. As the proud older brother of Collin, who graduated from Miramonte in 2024, he looks forward to bringing a sibling voice to the table. He is working in finance at Equitable Advisors and studying to become a Chartered Special Needs Consultant.

Carson Ahlquist - Board Member
Carson joined the Board last year as the first grandparent. Her grandson is on the autism spectrum. She has been working as an ASL interpreter and works with Deaf individuals with multiple disabilities. She is looking forward to her second year on the board and hearing from the community about possible future events.

Sara Castille - Board Member
Sara is a Special Education Administrator with over 18 years of experience spanning roles from paraprofessional to program specialist and Preschool / Early Intervention Coordinator. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership along with multiple teaching credentials and is passionate about fostering learning environments where all students can thrive. As the mother of two children in the Lafayette School District, Sara brings both professional expertise and a personal commitment to ensuring high-quality education for every child.

Jen Ripley - Board Member
Jen lives in Lafayette with her husband and two kids. Jen is a speech-language pathologist, a board certified behavior analyst, and is passionate about working with and supporting students with disabilities. Jen is also a parent to a child who is on a 504, so has experience as both an educator and a parent with the school system. Jen has been attending SEED events since 2013, but joined the Board in 2025. Jen is really excited about her new role on the Board and connecting with more members of the community.

Natalie Nicolson - Board Member
Natalie grew up in Lafayette and has spent the last 15 years in marketing and communications, most recently in children’s books. She cares deeply about SEED’s mission and excited to contribute her experience as both a parent and professional to the Board.
